Travel Club 964-8820

The Travel Club meetings are held the first Thursday of every month at 9:00 a.m. in the Community Room of Village Hall. All trips are open to members only and costs are non-refundable unless the trip is cancelled by the Palm Springs Leisure Services Department. Trip minimums must be met in order for trips to take place. Trips often fill up before deadline dates - make your reservations early! Frances Wroblewski is our Sunshine Lady. If you know of any members who are sick, may be hospitalized or have suffered a loss, please contact Dani at 964-8820 to send them a card.

Emergency Contact Information – We need names and numbers for people who will not be accompanying you on trips to contact in case of an emergency. Our computer system can store at least 10 emergency contacts per person. Please update this information next time you are at the Leisure Services office.

 

UPCOMING TRIPS:

Summer Luncheon at Benvenuto Restaurant   August 6th   

JUST A FEW SPOTS REMAINING!!

Join your friends from Noon – 3:00 p.m. for a delicious menu of: Sirloin Steak, Chicken Marsala, or Salmon. (choice must be made at registration) and Profiteroles with coffee ice cream/chocolate sauce for dessert. The meal also includes hot tea, coffee and water. Entertainment will be provided (a wonderful selection of performances including comedy, drama, and musical delights). No transportation will be offered. Benvenuto Restaurant is located at 1730 N. Federal Highway in Boynton Beach). The cost is $32 per person.

                

Calder CASINO       August 19th

Depart Palm Springs at 9:15 a.m. and receive $10 in Free Play (all first timers to Calder Casino) plus everyone gets to enjoy a free lunch buffet. THIS IS A SMOKE FREE CASINO! Everyone MUST bring a state I.D. or Driver’s License to the casino.   The cost is $16 and the deadline is August 5th.

 

Hard Rock Casino     August 28th    

Depart Palm Springs at 9:00 a.m. and receive $10 in Free Play plus a $5 lunch coupon (45 or more registered increases free play to $15). Please have your Player’s Card Number at registration. The cost is $16 per person and the deadline is August 5th

 

Indoor Picnic       September 11th    

Join your friends of the Travel Club from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Leisure Activity Building (located next to the basketball court in the Palm Springs Complex).  Enjoy barbeque chicken, BABY BACK ribs, and all the sides, drink and dessert (catered by Park Avenue Grill). The cost is $11 per person and the deadline is August 27th.

   

Ft. Myers Gambler’s Delight         September 25 & 26

RECEIVE A TOTAL OF $55 IN FREE PLAY AND LUNCH COUPONS!!

Depart Palm Springs for the Seminole Casino in Immokalee and receive $30 Free Play and a $5 Lunch Coupon. Later that day, check in at the Courtyard Marriott and join your group for a private cocktail party at the hotel before venturing to the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre to see “I Love a Piano”. The next morning after a full hot breakfast, head to the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood and receive $15 Free Play and a $5 Lunch Coupon. The cost is $104 per person for Double Occupancy or $135 for Single Occupancy and the deadline is September 3rd.

 

Redlands Wine & Orchids          November 18th

Depart Palm Springs at 8:30 a.m. to spend the morning touring and shopping at R. F. Orchids (located in the Redland District in Homestead). Their orchids for purchase are grown under the same conditions (in some cases, in the very same greenhouses) as their stud plants and private collections. Their orchids have received more than 800 awards from the American Orchid Society, and hundreds of medals, trophies and other recognition around the world. Enjoy a delicious lunch then the afternoon is all about the Schnebly Winery for some wine tasting! The cost is $58 and the deadline is October 8th.

 

Mon-Wed, December 13-15      Sarasota/Venice  

Depart Palm Springs at 8:00 a.m. and enjoy your trip which includes:

Christmas Pageant    December 17th

Depart Palm Springs at 5:30 p.m. to see this amazing show featuring a 1200 member cast and crew plus live animals! This show sells out before August every year and there are awesome main stage seats reserved for you at the First Baptist Church of Fort Lauderdale. The cost is $57 per person (in order for us to guarantee tickets, the contract states that payment MUST be received at this early time).
