The Uniform Patrol Unit is manned by a Sergeant, a Corporal and 4-5 Public Safety Officers on each of four patrol teams. The village is divided geographically into four patrol zones with an officer assigned to each zone.

The Uniform Patrol Unit answers all calls for emergency service that are received by the 911 Communications Center. Problem solving and Zone Ownership are important to zone Officers as they place an emphasis on crime prevention and “Quality of Life” issues throughout the Village.
