Actively manage the Village’s financial resources through strict adherence to prudent financial polices and procedures that protect our resources, and produce reliable, timely financial information that will assist Village Council, residents, and other users in their decisions to ensure a sound financial future for the Village.

The Finance Department supports the Village operations through sound financial management. Finance is responsible for the collection of revenues, investment of available funds, budget management, vendor disbursements, payroll, accounting, debt administration and financial information technology.

The Village’s fiscal year is October 1 through September 30th. Finance reports on the results of the Village’s operations throughout the year with statements that compare actual revenues and expenditures to the adopted budget.

At the end of each fiscal year, Finance produces the Village’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). The CAFR has has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, awarded by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada for 19 consecutive years. The CAFR’s published since fiscal year ended September 30, 2001 are available on our website.
